I have been getting a bunch of emails lately asking about the Penguin Update and how linkpushing comes into play. Rather than send out a bunch of emails with essentially the same information I thought I would share here on the blog for everyone to see.

The update in the algorithm is heavy onsite and will no doubt hurt you if you are over optimizing your sites by abusing the <h1>, <h2> and <h2> tags as well as the <strong> tags. If you want to bold something on your site and you use wordpress the strong tag is automatic. I did the same thing with the <strong> tags on one of my largest sites and it is costing me a fair chunk of change to get a lot of those tags replaced with the <b> bold tag.

Once they are completly changed I’ll be putting them in lindexed.com to get them crawled again and I am very confident that site will get back it’s rightful place in Google.

On the other hand I did not do anything like that for this blog and it ranks for a bunch of keywords without me even trying for the most part.

If you were to Google the keyword phrase proper anchor text, you would see us on the first page of Google about the 7th or 8th position. The article on the blog is not overly optimized and I only backlinked it with a handful of linkpushes… pretty much what a normal blogger would do.

So part of what you want to do is to mimic a normal blogger… don’t make everything you are trying to rank for in <strong> or even <b> but rather have a handful of keywords that you are trying to rank for just be in your content without trying to bring attention to them.

If you are using WordPress periodically change your theme and make sure you are not using all the same plugins for your sites as well as mixing up the ping sites in your writing settings. If you need a bunch of different ping sites to mix and match download this http://www.mediafire.com/view/?beopaip2rqq2e26 as there are hundreds on it.

Do not use all the ping sites on all your sites but grab some and mix them up a bit so you are not leaving a footprint nor are you over pinging your sites.

Do you truncate your articles?

I do and I do that for a reason… so that Google has a reason to go to other pages on my sites but I do not truncate them using a plugin but rather do it manually and do not truncate the articles after the exact same number of characters… that leaves a footprint the size of a Wooly Mammouth.

If you think about all the things you do that are not natural when it comes to building your sites you will be able to overcome all the Penguin on site SEO problems and get your rankings where they should do with a balanced backlinking infrastructure working for you as well.

I know a lot of you are SEO guys and this could be something to add to your arsenal… I wrote an ebook on Reputation Management as part of a project I was doing and thought that I’d share it with you. It is not the end all of Reputation Management methods but I know it works because I tested it (I Test Everything!) and you can take the eBook and use it to make a sales presentation.

As to pricing for Reputation Management I couldn’t give you anything definitive but if you did everything in the eBook for a client you could easily charge between $1,200.00 and $1,500.00 + the cost of the content and a maintenance fee of around $200.00 – $250.00 monthly.

Here’s the first paragraph or so:

Online reputation management is an very hot up and coming aspect of the internet
services industry that if done properly can end up making you look like a genius to your
clients.

Why is online reputation management important?

With the world turning more and more to the internet for information one needs to have
a complete variety of information from various sources so as to lay out a foundation of
positive information, to give those interested in you an idea that there are a lot of
individuals and groups that have encountered you and were pleased and finally to make
any negative stuff get off the first pages of the search engines.

A multitude of different sources with positive reviews and information will give the
buyers of your clients products or services more of a reason to do business with them as
opposed to the company that has a thin positive background.

How do you sell a client?

First thing is you have to create a sense of need for the client as many people have not
even thought of that as an industry.

Share with them some of these facts:

Almost nobody uses a telephone book to find a number…

If you want the free eBook just DL it here:

http://www.mediafire.com/view/?wi7jiejjtxfkhbm

Hope that helps some of you in that industry to increase your revenue!

I’ve been doing a lot of testing the past few months to see how to overcome any issues with the new Google changes that come along every now and then and have some interesting results concerning anchor text.

Proper Anchor Text for Best SEO is not always using anchor text.

Strange as that may sound you do not want to add anchor text to all your backlinks as you are building your backlink infrastructure. “Naked” backlinks look very natural and pass along link juice to your sites so it would make sense to add them into your SEO strategy. To go onto a site and see http://linkpushing.net is something that you would naturally see and something that a person would just put in when referring your site to others to visit.

Not everyone uses html to backlink when they are just casually blogging and you want to Google to think that all your backlinks are natural and that is just a very natural thing that people do so if you are not putting naked links out there hop on the bus and start getting that process in play.

Proper Anchor Text for Best SEO – Click Here!

Many of you know that Adobe owns “Click here” in the anchor text world from their zillion click here backlinks and you should take part in similar strategies. Having only one keyword for your anchor text is not good practice as it looks unnatural. If all we did for anchor text for our service was to put Linkpushing as the keyword Google would beat us up and take our lunch money.

Anchor text that does not call attention to your keywords is natural as well as naked backlinks. Using random anchor text such as “Click Here”, “Look Here”, “A Site that talks about this”, etc is what you want as part of your strategy as well. Bloggers naturally do that and you should as well when building backlinks. Think about what seems normal and natural and you’ll see this makes sense and keeps Google from thinking you are building something that is not natural and trying to game the system.

It is easy for us as webmasters that are trying to get our site ranked for certain keywords to think only as webmasters and lose the perspective that we really need to have and that is what would your average person that was writing do to send you to a particular site. Sure, some are going to write “I was using linkpushing the other day and just found that to be a terrific service” but others are going to say “I went to this site, http://linkpushing.net and thought it was terrific” and some will say “I went to this site that is a terrific service, if you want to check it out click here“.

So as you are building your backlinks take off any blinders you may have on and spread out the anchor text to some of that generic verbiage and you will benefit by a more realistic looking infrastructure as well as a broader base and Google will show you search engine love for a long long time.

Google Webmaster Tools Issue

Many of you have gotten this email from Google Webmaster Tools:

Dear site owner or webmaster of http://yourdomain.com,

We’ve detected that some of your site’s pages may be using techniques
that are outside Google’s Webmaster Guidelines.

Specifically, look for possibly artificial or unnatural links pointing
to your site that could be intended to manipulate PageRank. Examples
of unnatural linking could include buying links to pass PageRank or
participating in link schemes.

We encourage you to make changes to your site so that it meets our
quality guidelines. Once you’ve made these changes, please submit your
site for reconsideration in Google’s search results.

If you find unnatural links to your site that you are unable to
control or remove, please provide the details in your reconsideration
request.

If you have any questions about how to resolve this issue, please see
our Webmaster Help Forum for support.

Sincerely,

Google Search Quality Team

If you want to overcome any issues like that you should be diversifying your backlinking with a variety of backlinks as well as a variety of anchor texts and also having naked backlinks (http:;yourdomain.com without any anchor text).

Proper offsite SEO is all about a solid infrastructure of backlinking that is as varied as possible and using only one process to backlink your site is bad offsite SEO. Make your backlinking very random and chaotic and you will be well served by the search engines and not get hit by any updates that happen on a regular basis.

Google Webmaster Tools Issue

This is not an issue with proper backlinking and as a SEO professional I suggest you use a huge variety of backlinks… forum profiles, article directories, Web 2.0 properties, wiki backlinks… anything that you can possibly think of for backlinks is what you should be using to make sure that you are spread out nicely.

The phrase “keeping all your eggs in one basket” comes to mind when I think about this as well as “multiple streams of income”.

You never want to keep all your eggs in the one basket and you surely would like to have multiple streams of income if possible as well. The reason most of us use mutual funds as opposed tot he stock market is because a mutual fund spreads the money out over a variety of stocks and that lessens the risk as well as gives you a better opportunity to generate returns as opposed to throwing all your cash at one stock.

Be smart, spread your backlinking about and you won’t have issues with any particular change when the search engines make their adjustments.

I get asked a lot about how I go about building sites, on site SEO, off site Seo and such. I’d like to share a video on how I do keyword research as that is important as teh very basis for building a site that will get ranked in the search engines for a lot of different keywords.

I don’t build sites that rank for only one keyword or for even a few keywords but I like to build them so they rank for hundreds of keywords so that the traffic comes from all over the place.

Take a gander at this video and in a few days I’ll add some more thoughts on what I do to build huge sites and make decent money from them.

The video below shows you something that I have been doing lately for some of my larger sites as well as for some of the domains that I own that are similar in nature in terms of Keywords and niches.

We have been testing this for about 1 and half months and it is a very nice smooth way to get your site backlinked in a manner that is extremely random and so very natural looking.

The video is a little blurry when it comes the way I set up the resource box so I have pasted it below:

That is a real nice tool and has made my life tons easier and can do the same for you.

Not only that we also set up an API with http:/lindexed.com which is a service that aids in getting your links crawled and indexed. Once per day linkexed will call to our site and grab any urls that were created in the system for you and then have the bots crawl them.

That is a quality service provided by a very nice man who has a skill set that would I would be hard pressed to say can be matched.

More spinning resources, more article scraping resources and a new API all to start the new year off right!

A few things that we do in addition to what is mentioned on the site:

All urls are sent to linklicious.me automatically.

All urls we create in the system are hit with scrape box once a month (we do not hit your money sites).

All urls we create in the system are hit with xrumer once a month (we do not hit your money sites).

We are diligently working on adding a second and then a third source for articles. This should make the process of setting up your linkpushes quicker as well as add more diversity in the system.

We are also going to add another 100 private network sites into the system to add diversity for your linkpushes.

All private network sites are hit with backlinks from a variety of sources to build up the link juice they provide for you and that is done on a regular basis.

I’ll try and keep this up to date as much as possible to keep you in the loop and if you have not had the opportunity to try the new APP, you are missing out on a very cool tool.

We have a new tool that makes it easy to start your linkpushes and repeat them every month at the touch of a button!

This tool was build by my friend, Darko (accelerator_dd), who is one of the owners of seofriik.com and quite frankly I am amazed at how easy it is to use and how much time it saves our clients. You can set your linkpushes up in a CSV file and have them repeat month after month with virtually no work on your part at all!

The application has some fail safe protection in it so you cannot make a mistake and not enter in your url with out the http:// as that can be an easy thing to overlook… it also makes it easy for you to repeat the exact same linkpush the same month with just a click of a button as well.

This tool is free to our clients of course and will sit on your desktop thus ensuring that nobody can see your keywords as well.

The video below shows the application in action for you and there are a couple of things you need to know as part of the process.

Set your CSV file up with line one having the following columns in this order: Name, Keywords, URL, Category, Docs.

When using multiple keywords in your CSV file separate them with a semi-colon ; and do not use any spaces between the keywords.

The process is below in the video and if you have any questions, feel free to email me - gregatbizop@gmail.com and I’ll do all I can to sort things out for you with it.

I promise you that you will love this!

Now you can set up your linkpushes and use imacros to have them uploaded at the push of a button… you can upload 1 or 1000 linkpushes using this process as described by my friend, Jessee, in great detail below.

You need the following files for your imacro:

This one to autosubmit

http://www.mediafire.com/?ycpb69dfjul4frl

And this one to see what was not submitted properly

http://www.mediafire.com/?3dhy6agioyapyq3

It is a pretty simple process and it’s been tested by several different people; some very technical and some that have little to no technical experience and everyone that tested it loved it.

You can set up your csv file and just redo your linkpushes every month if you want or you can change them up a bit if you want using this process and you can literally enter hundreds of link pushes in minutes.

The process using the imacros for mass linkpushes was implemented by Jesse who also was kind enough to make the video and give me the files to share to make it easy for you. He has also offered to help if you have a specific issue when setting these up.

His email is air360@hotmail.com if you are having a hard time getting it set up properly but please understand he does have a full time job so he may not respond immediately.
